or

Most tvs of 32" won't be 1080, which is desirable. This resolution will only be on larger screens. For the money I'd get a brand name like SOny and Samsung . Play.com have some good screens at good prices.

I've a similar model to the 32" linked - just doesn't have freeview and has an extra HDMI port and VGA (computer), ace tv, never had a problem with it.

Was posted as a deal here about 2months ago.

Guys i don't wanna be the one to burst everyone's bubble, but here goes: NONE of the big manufacturer makes their own 32" LCD panel! They are all sourced from cheap companies, usually Turkish (Viston) etc or Orions.

I know this to be a fact for the cheaper Sony and Samsung TV's (Sony and Samsung have joint partnership in LCD panels called S-LCD), although i'm not 100% sure on the more expensive ones.

There is a lot of group sharing as follows
LG and Philps
Sony and Samsung
Panasonic, Canon, Hitachi

Its not just about the panel though. That is just one of many different parts that make a tv - Some tvs have have the same panel but do not produce the same quality of picture

Like nipperkipper said, it is not just about panels - HDTV's also do loads of post processing etc.

I have seen (bought and returned) first hand some of the cheaper sets (Digimate, Hanspree and Mirai)- and they really do not compare to a cheap Samsung, LG or Toshiba.
