At 12hr 34 minutes and 56seconds on the 7th of august this year...
the time and date will be:

12:34:56 7/8/9

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

at 2 minutes past 8 on my birthday in 2002 the time, date year was

20:02 20/02 2002

2 mins past the 20th hour, on the 20th of the 2nd months 2002 :thumbsup:
The zero is just as important as any other digit, especially when there is even a prefix to it of 20. If it was year 0009 I would agree, but you're already messing about enough. You can't pick to lose a zero when it has a meaning because of the number it is part of, that's cheating.

In this case, it is clear we are ignoring all 3 leading digits and just using the last digit, in which case 2009, 2019, 2029 would all be valid.

I really shouldn't bother but, all the cheques I have written in my life, I have missed off the leading 19 and 20. For the past 9 years I have been writing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 as the year.
Next year I shall put 10 and the year after that I shall use 11. I don't think they would let me drop the first 1 and just write the year as 1. Do you?

That's just the way you do it, it doesn't mean it is correct nor that you can use the same method to try and display a specific mathematical pattern.
Yep, this one will happen in 100 years time where 21 will be dropped from the year.
I won't be here to see that though.:x

two weeks ago we had something like this and again at the start of the year all depends on how people want to make teh numbers work for them
