As you've probably realised there's been a glitch on the Three web-site recently which has resulted in some rather good offers for phone contracts.

The thread in question:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=479959

is becoming rather full and difficult to find the resources you might need. Therefore please use this thread to post any resources you have that may help people, things like links to ofcom rules, screenshots of specific deals etc.

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS THREAD TO DISCUSS THE DEAL, KEEP IT CLEAN AND TIDY FOR RESOURCES. THANKYOU!!!

As of 18th September 2009 (for my G502 at £3.04 per month):

tickedon
I just spent nearly 2 hours on the phone.

I finally got through to the right team (After being disconnected by some agents). 3 have apparently decided to honour all contracts, upper management took the decision and have briefed the billing team managers. The information will be passed to everyone by the end of the day and so everyone should have it honored.

I have a recorded copy of the telephone call.

They said the first bill would be calculated at £6.25, the second bill at £3.04, and the overpayment from the first bill applied to the second bill.

On 19th September, for my K660 at £3.04 per month:

tickedon
I phoned up the 0800 equivalent of the 0870 733 0333, which is 0800 3586795. I asked to speak to billing.

When I phoned up today, I asked to confirm my line rental. They read off the two discounts, £5 and 25%, giving me £6.75 or something to pay. I said I was meant to pay £3.04. He said no, that's an error, they are aware of it, and muddled his words up trying to find a "polite way" to say that basically we were all trying to take advantage. I said that's the contract price that I signed up to pay, that's the contract price you sent my phone out for, and that's the contract price I'm going to pay.
He then said, ok, sure, what we can do for you then is I'm going to add another £3 per month discount... It was short phone call, I didn't have much difficulty with my agent giving me the deal.

I didn't have to mention Ofcom or anything. I was VERY polite, but firm when they said no initially. At the end of the call he asked if that had made me happy, and I said yes giving me the phone at £3.04 made me happy, and he had a small laugh at that. They all know we are taking the p*** with it, but, everyone in billing I've spoken to has been fine about putting it through.

Similar experience yesterday when I got through to billing. The other departments will fob you off, transfer you somewhere else, cut you off etc... If there is one thing anyone takes from this post - you need to speak to billing :)

I've noticed that some people have been asked where they got the codes from. What is the original source ? I am an NHS worker but have never come across these.

I got aff50 from NHSdiscounts.co.uk. I then found the others (aff53, 56, 67, 76) by just working up from aff50! I've no idea where they come from, they might not have been designated for anything by 3. NahThenLad got aff99 through the same method.

All I can say is I took advantage of the "promotions" on the three official website and as such I expect my original contract terms to be fulfilled, otherwise it would be "Mis-Selling" would it not?

It appears the only way to get the deal is to ring them up and kick up a fuss.

The department that people are ringing, would be great info. for everyone.

Does anybody have a screen grab of the C903 on 18 month £20 Internet texter please?

They want to charge me £13!

0800 number doesn't work anymore, just a recorded message saying phone 0843 3733333.

0843 charged at max 5p/min on BT landline, same as 0844.

01442 456050 or 01628 765000 are alternative numbers apparently.
