I got a Nokia 6500 about 2 months ago from them. I've not had any problems with the network or signal and my bills have never been over £20 a month (I'm on the 1100 mix and match for £20) so overall I'm impressed up to now. Apparently their customer service is pretty rubbish if you've got a problem, but I've not had to use them yet!

I have had 2 contracts with them first 18 months were great and no need to contact them. Upgraded in Feb for another 18 months and I have had nothing but probs. Customer service is ****, they dont listen, dont call you back and you never talk to the same person twice.

So fine as long as you dont have any phone probs, although you cant always get a signal.

N95 is great, but watch out that you are only paying £20 per month for this phone because usually this is just for your mins/texts I think they were adding £9 per month for video mins with the n95 so it will take it to £29 per month.

Three wouldnt be a 1st choice for me tbh

Utter *****, avoid them :x

better off dealing through a store. easier for problems.

Everyone knocks Three but I have had no major problems with them.
Signal reception does not seem a problem and I travel all over UK.
You can check your minutes left, immediately after a call not like some other providers.
I have been with them for 3 years as you seem to get more minutes for your money than the other providers and they reward loyalty by a monthly rebate on my monthly contract.
Yes their support is in India but they are not the only company using an Indian workforce!
I am due for an upgrade but am waiting a few more weeks as the N95 has been out for quite a while and a new phone must be due out soon.

I used to be with 3, never again!!
i had nothing but problems and when you try and speak to someone you're put through to India, the people on the other end cant understand you and you cant understand them. very frustrating when your trying to resolve a problem.
with voda now, they have messed up my bill 4 times in 4 months!!! so wouldnt recommend them either!!!

I have not had any problems with them, I agree that call centre staff are difficult to understand. But can anyone beat them for mins per month on the n95?
#11
thks for all of your replies very mixed i must say

any one else got any feedback?

Been with 3 for 5 years only briefly with O2 in between. Not had any major problems, plus right now I'm on their loyalty scheme which means I pay £5 per month for 300 minutes and 100 or so texts. Bloody excellent if you ask me and I wasn't even the original phone holder. My brother transferred his contract to my name after his one year was up.

Oh, and don't use outside your minutes..I paid 20 quid once when I spoke on the phone for an hour to another mobile outside my minutes :(

Well i get 700 mins for £20 with 3 (only reason I have n95 is because nokia replaced 6500 slide because it had several faults)

The N95 is £330 on nokia site sim free, so paying the £20 and only getting 300 units is probably the best deal you are going to get on that phone. I have checked The Link and carphone WH and there cheapest package for this phone is £35 but you do get more mins/texts.
My advice as far as how many units you get is if you are happy to pay the £20 and you know that your total mins/text will get you through the month then its a good deal for you. But if for instance you intend to use 300 on text and 100 mins talk time then in the long run it will cost you more per month.
If you are going to take out an 18 month contract you need to know that what you are getting for your money will cover your usage because you are commited to that 18 months after the 1st 28days and it is extremely difficult to get out of a contract before your 18 months are up

Hope this helps

On my second contract with Three now, first year was excellent, however when my upgrade was sent to the wrong address things turned terrible!

Customer service is terrible - however if you complain in the right way and talk to UK based staff things are sorted quickly with minimum fuss - and I got £65 compensation out of them.

Three as a product is excellent, customer services are terrible, but as they are so cheap you need to weigh it all up.

To be honest every sort of provider has its bad days, be it electric, gas, BT etc.

I have the N95 on mix and match 500 for £23 a month, and have heard of people getting much better deals if you haggle well.

I'm with three, havn't a problem with signal, but from what people say i suppose it depends where you are. The good thing about them is when it comes to upgrade they will offer you a very good deal which is hard to say no to, basically half your rental (or even cheaper) plus the latest phone

used to work for 3 would never EVER have a phone contract with 'em

Customer service training is a joke the trainers don't even understand what they are saying and they don't have a clue about anything more than the basic fnctions on the phones

And please don't get me started on their billing systems or their departmental comunication

[QUOTE=mum2b]On the phone or in a shop?

Speak to them on the phone, in my experience everything they agree in store has to go via their Indian contact centre.

When complaining I complain to the cheif exec and CC in the Director of comms for OFCOM, seems to do the trick

Another note here on their shocking customer servic.

My Fiancee was with them for 18 months and when it came time for renewal saw a good offer on their website, she rang to renew saying she would like the offer on the site and was told it was for "new customers only", after a bit of arguing she said she would cancel her contract and start a new one then. The guy on the phone argued with her for nearly half an hour before letting her cancel the contract.

Where as with Orange I phoned up to cancel my contract as I had seen a good one with T-Mobile and Orange went out of their way to not only match but completely hammer the deal from T-Mobile until I just couldnt say no.
#25
yep same with me phoned up orange to cancel and they offered her the samsung soul free £10 of her original contract and gave her a new 12 month contract instead of a 18 month one everywhere else was 18 month for 35 a month hers is £25 diff story aint it and the women was very nice aswell going outa her way to find the best deal for her

thks any more?
