Just had this email for anyone who was wondering about refunds

Michael Jackson - The O2

Dear Ticketmaster customer,

This is a courtesy email from Ticketmaster regarding your Michael Jackson booking. AEG Live, the event organisers has issued the following statement:

"On behalf of the entire AEG organisation we extend our deepest condolences to Michael Jackson's family and friends during this tragic time. Full ticket refund information and procedures will be released early next week for all Michael Jackson "This Is It" shows. Fans are advised to hold onto their ticket vouchers/proof of purchase."

Ticketmaster will contact all its customers when the refund arrangements are finalised.

Kind regards,
Ticketmaster Customer Service Department

I havent had that email yet...or my tickets. I expect they will just refund the ticket price and not service charge..p and p and processing fee..which for me is £30.25...so if they keep it they are still making a few bob off each person.

Yep, they are already telling sellers in 45 days refund, or it will be forced anyway under PP and they are working on an announcement for those over 45 days.

Forced or not, there will be loads of people removing their card and bank details from PP

And escaping with big cash lol

Court cases then I suppose !

No pp will just send debt collectors after the sellers and yes take them to court. Ebay will see the buyers right then chase the sellers, which has always been the case.

For these large amounts over the PP limit, I hope they do, it's a shame to see buyers getting hassle for nothing....

***Updated: Michael Jackson concert tickets ***

27 June, 2009 | 12:49PM BST

The sad news of Michael Jackson's death has left fans of the King of Pop bereft. eBay is committed to ensuring that no buyer is left out of pocket as a result of the unique nature of the event, and will ensure all buyers on the site can receive a full refund for their ticket purchase.

On this basis, eBay and PayPal is extending its Buyer Protection to all Michael Jackson concert ticket purchases bought on eBay
. The company will also help sellers by refunding eBay's sales commission when they refund buyers for Michael Jackson ticket sales.

Final details of how buyers and sellers can work with eBay and PayPal will be announced early next week.

Regards,

The eBay Team

those that have spent the profits better start saving or get a loan ....lol

Just an fyi for anyone who needs to get refunds from Ticketmaster, SEE, Ticketline or viagogo - check out this page which has instructions...
http://www.michaeljacksonlive.com/refunds.php

If you are looking to get one of the tickets sent to you rather than the refund... you've got till Aug 14th otherwise you'll just get a refund!

This is the response you get once you fill it in (from ticketmaster at least)

"All refunds will be processed as soon as possible, please allow up to 21 days upon completion of this request. If you have selected to receive all or some of your souvenir tickets we aim to have this process complete by the end of August 2009 and will be in contact nearer this time regarding the dispatch of your tickets."
