such a nice guy-my son was waiting for autographs at the practice ground at the open, tiger came out,his entourage were trying to rush him past everyone and he said to them. "hold on,I wanna talk to these kids" gave about ten of them signed golf balls-my son got a ball and as he walked away my son shouted good luck, tiger took his baseball cap off, signed it and gave him that too.

despite his enormous wealth and fame,he has time for fans-will be gutted if this really is serious.

Very sad news.

Sky News are all over it already with non stop coverage.

Great story. Makes sense considering he is so good and yet so respected amongst his peers.

Great story, he often comes across as a bit of a sourpuss, but maybe unfairly so.

Doesn't sound like a serious accident but does seem a bit weird - lets hope he's okay....

BBC news are really desperate - they are interviewing an American golf correspondent for the latest information and the correspondent admitted he was just repeating what he read on the internet :w00t:

Can't be bad seeing as he's been released. Good news. :)

Anyone else think this story is weird.
The wife heard the crash and used a golf club to smash the back window. Presumably the club was in the car but why would she need to smash the back window? if its a low impact crash the doors should still open.........

If the doors were jammed how did she manage to haul a semi-conscious man our the back window?

If she needed to smash a window because the doors were locked it seems a bit odd that she went back in the house for a club?

what club would you use? I'd go for a sand wedge myself........;-)
