Tinned Red Kidney Beans...safe to eat?

I love sweetcorn and red kidney beans mixed together in a salad. Had them from salad bars in the past so want to have them for salads at home but am not sure if you have to cook the tinned kidney beans first? It doesn't say on the tins that I have bought so far. Help.....

Aren't they already cooked?

I would certainly wash them well still though.

We use them at least once a week, never woken up dead yet!

Thanks for the replies. I know they were cooked to a degree but wasn't sure if they needed further cooking. Going to risk it and add to my salad for later :)

Aren't they still hard when they come out of the tin and need cooking to soften up?

No, just wash them.
