Just a random thought. This one's more of a thought exercise that might have some useful (general shopping) tips fall out of it.

Using any tricks at your disposal, can you fathom a way to legitimate purchase a set of ATH-M40X headphones for £50 brand new? (generally retail at £80)

Any strategies short of bank balance hoping and using the cash from that considered :D

I am of course in the market for a pair but can't seem to beat £78 which seems quite pitiful.

I figured there may be a whole host of snazzy little party tricks I(/we) may not know that folks may be interested in sharing.

Too random/cheeky?

I got reasons for the ATH-M40X. VERY good quality (like generally rave reviews), low impedance (which those Sony's likely have too) and removable stereo cable so I can use a cable with inline boom microphone :D

Well, pricespy has it for around £78 from "Jigsaw24" whoever they are, about the cheapest I could find.
Had a hunt around for anywhere I could see that had it for sale for any "get £x free" gift vouchers.
Had a check for anywhere I could get it that offered decent cashback.

There's nowt really beats it atm. I could bag it on ebay (argos outlet) and get some nectar points on it but... that's about it.
