no am afraid. They wont accept anything at all now without a receipt

(long time no see btw!)

edit - and also u only get 30 days to exchange or refund and they print the last date for that on the receipts now

That is only for unwanted items, this item is faulty as specified though.

I will go have a look at that - and actually it isnt 30 days for returns - its now only 14, but as Awoodall says, that only applies to unwanted item

I searched for answers prior to posting this but i just got hits about ones returning clothes without receipts or tags.Thought I would have a better chance as I have the pricing sticker.

I found this at the following website for the OP. http://www.pkc.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/14DC7B9C-8745-4C77-9006-9372A9770B6D/0/civilQUESTIONSplusADVICE.pdf

"I have purchased some faulty goods, but I have lost the receipt. The trader says that without a receipt, I do not have any rights. Is he right?"

No! You do not have to produce a receipt in order to pursue a claim for faulty goods. However, under the law, you are required to prove that you purchased the product. Therefore, if you paid by cash, a receipt may be the only proof that you have.

Speakers themselves practically never break. You've probably just got a dry connection inside the speaker, so if all fails with TK Maxx, just crack it open and fix it. It'll take five minutes.

have you checked the balance and swopped speakers to see if its the speaker or the system

Just checked and the 'bad' speaker works when I switch them but the 'good' one doesn't if that makes sense.
