Someone just sent me this, quoted straight from the EULA:

"11.1 ...By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services... "

"8.1 You understand that all information (such as data files, written text, computer software, music, audio files or other sounds, photographs, videos or other images) which you may have access to as part of, or through your use of, the Services are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. All such information is referred to below as the Content."

so basically, Google are using Chrome to spy on us.

Thoughts anyone?

Here's an official response from Rebecca Ward, Senior Product Counsel for Google Chrome:

"In order to keep things simple for our users, we try to use the same set of legal terms (our Universal Terms of Service) for many of our products. Sometimes, as in the case of Google Chrome, this means that the legal terms for a specific product may include terms that don't apply well to the use of that product. We are working quickly to remove language from Section 11 of the current Google Chrome terms of service. This change will apply retroactively to all users who have downloaded Google Chrome

looks like they put it in by mistake and are sorting it

Sorry, should've explained earlier, Google Chrome is a new browser by Google.
It's set to become an IE/FF/Opera/Safari killer.

The use of a new rendering engine, and all the work with the Gears team mean that Chrome is lightning fast, with speeds of up to 10 times faster than IE7!

Yeah, I'm missing Ad-Block Plus and all my other add-ons (PicLens especially).
Apparently, it will be easy to port over the plug-ins :)

it's basically Google's ripoff of Opera which isn't a very good browser, they've already discovered a security hole plugged by everyone else months ago, add the licensing agreement and it's not worth using.

It's not a new rendering engine, far from it. They use WebKit, Apples rendering engine. The very same one Safari uses (as does a whole heap of other stuff in OSX). :whistling:
