Hi Guys,

My Tom Tom 720 got stolen last night i was in bradford fulton street, dont park their!!!, and i wanted to know if you guys know of any cheaper alternatives than forking out 300 quid for a tom tom with a 4.3" screen with everythin on,

I have heard that people bought some sort of device for 40 quid and then installed tom tom on it, but not a clue about where to purchase it,

Any Help would be appreciated,

Also currently looking for VW breakers to replace the window they broke, cant afford to tell insurance company, it would cost more than its worth,

Any Help would be appreciated in this guys,

Kind Regards,

Shazard

buying a good regional A-Z can cost about £15 and If you are like me you would need about 6 maps, Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Barrow and wirral. Would be cheaper to buy a tomtom and have it read the directions to you.

You will have glass insurance on your insurance, are you fully comp? You just have to pay the excess of £50 to £75 and it DOES NOT affect your no claims.

my £100 tomtom one got knicked too about 6 months ago - I went for the navigo and stuck the tomtom software on it from ebuyer - only 50 quid so if it gets knicked again I'll only be half as bothered :)

It's not as good hardware wise as the tomtom was but I only need sat nav a few times a month so it doesn't really matter that much.

hey guys thanks for the great replies,

an iphone doesnt sound like a bad idea lol,

but i really need a good tom tom lol as i use my sat nav all the time im a 3rd line engineer and as a contractor im constantly workin all over the country lol, so havin a sat nav read the instructions an cameras instead of gettin caught out with an a-z is a no go lol

Will have a look at the links
