It was working fine on Monday night then this morning when I tried to use it this morning, it wouldn't switch on! I already tried to recharge it but no luck :(
I bought the TomTom back in Feburary 2006, would it still be under warranty? How do I get TomTom to repair it? HELP!

Hi there,

This is only a guess........I borrowed my mates Garmin GPS and that wouldnt power off. My mate found that the battery was quite run down but there is also a reset button under the fascia. This worked on the Garmin - no idea about the TOM TOM just a thought?

open up a paperclip, tiny hole underneath next to all the connection holes, stick it in there gently.

mine locks up on the odd occasion too, I keep a spare paperclip in the case!

HTH:thumbsup:

If you have tried the paper clip with no luck then:

The first port of call should be the outlet you purchased the device from they should Exchange, repair or refund.
Failing that then your contact for Tomtom UK

Thanks for your help guys! I used the paperclip trick and it managed to switch on (after pressing the reset button a few times). Saved me having to buy a new TomTOm
Ive added rep to you all!
