I'm staying where I am too. Just gonna buy the wife a thicker jumper for the winter:-D

Think you're too late.

I capped with "E.On" today. It took ages as the site was getting hammered. The get out fee is £40, which is not the end of the world.
I guess it depends on how much you believe fuel prices will go up.

I am with scottish power capped. They havent increased their prices yet but the capped rate i got 2days ago is cheaper the BG's standard rate so seems a waste of money to stay with BG. Unless Scottish Power has increased their Augt 09 capped rate?? Might be worth a look

Good news – your prices haven’t increased.
This email is regarding:
Your Energy Prices

Which haven't been affected by the latest price increases.

World oil and gas prices have been reaching record highs – this is an issue facing all energy suppliers. This means the cost of energy has been going up and will probably continue to rise. In fact, in the last six months wholesale energy prices have increased by more than 60%.

You'll still benefit from our lowest available prices.

When you took out Click Energy 5 you made a great decision – you're benefiting from our cheapest available online dual-fuel tariff*, and because we've only just introduced this market-beating tariff we're going to hold off any price increases for as long as we can. There's no need to do anything, we'll contact you to let you know your new prices should they change.

Visit our website for more information on why energy prices are increasing and what we're doing to help you with rising energy costs.

Save up to 1/3 on your energy bills.

With rising household costs, now is the time to start looking for more ways to use less energy. So, to help you, we've made our Energy Savers Report even better. It now has a new Energy Planner that shows you how you could save energy and money – up to £444** in fact. Try it today to see how much you could save.

We always aim to give the best level of service.

You can now view our 2008 Standards of Performance online. This explains the services we provide, the levels of customer care that we guarantee and the service levels you can expect from the companies that maintain your pipes and cables (network operators).

Thank you for being a British Gas customer. You are important to us.

Yours sincerely

this is because it was a capped tariff!?
