Topcashback problems

Following recent multiple problems getting Topcashback to resolve problems with certain sellers, I started a thread on their own forums.
http://forum.topcashback.co.uk/tm.aspx?high=&m=54273.
Before you take any deal on HUKD which relies on cashback from Topcashback you might want to check out if they have been named on the list

We reccomend that no one takes a deal just because of the cashback (no matter what site it's through), as CB is never guarranteed! I don't personally use TCB anymore as they are pretty useless.

I am just trying to be helpful to other HUKD and TCB members. 16 posts, 3 days old thread on a forum that many users don't know exists. Rather than troll others that try to help some of us like to do something useful for others.

Couldn't agree more. The idea of the thread is to get a regular idea of companies that have appalling tracking and payout records. We have all heard the horror stories. Unfortunately people do take deals purely on the grounds of the Cashback offered as they just see the £ signs lighting up. So hopefully a few might reflect on the chances of getting paid through the thread

The more reports like this, the better coverage to warn others.

is there any free cash back sites that let you have cash for buying from all categories on amazon including dvds and games?

Amazon only allow cashback on certain product lines at anyone time. You can see those easily on the Quidco site, although Quidco do take the first £5 earned each year to fund the site, but they seem to recently have overcome most tracking problems and are regarded as more trustworthy now (they used to have a really bad record and many ex-users won't return)

I have been waiting months for TCB to resolve a Direct Line claim for £90.

I think I got about £2 in tcb claims from buying things at GAME, but everytime it the site didn't clock it and I had to chase it up with support, I don't really think its worth it, gaming is the biggest thing for me money wise, everything else is just buy the cheapest I can find.

Out of interest the following thread was an enlightening read.
Didn't like what she had to do as my comment on there says but thought I would post this link for others to look at

Does Windows 8.1 affect tracking

Got less than half my cash back with Topcashback.
Fed up contacting them and jumping through hoops until finally it becomes clear I'm getting nowhere.

Always seems to be the bigger cashback amounts that fail. :(

It seems to be a common comment on the forum and on that link that it's the big claims that fail

Claim with Wow HD initially tracked then got declined. Topcashback unable to help apparently. Same with every Game transaction. lookJust about to withdraw all my earnings and close the account. Quidco is so much more reliable these days.

That happens to me to. Eveytime I use it for game it never tracks. Do you eventually get it when you chase it up though?

Also I've had £15 from a Tesco ps4 I bought in April stuck on pending all this time :p don't think I'm getting it

I can 100% assure you that Windows 8.1 has NO effect on cashback tracking.

Clear your cookies beforehand, and you should be fine. Also if you have any ad-blocking extensions etc, I would temporarily disable them too - just to be on the safe side. HTH.

I agree but thought I would post it anyway in the interest of even debate

Very true.

Mostly a waste of time.
Used to be the same with Quidco, but they've really upped their game over the last year, whilst TCB seem to be getting worse.

At the moment, you're probably better with Quidco (they used to take the first £5 but they didn't do that with me, so maybe that's stopped).

Anything gambling related will be a total lottery, and more than likely you won't receive.

Remember, using voucher codes not specifically listed by TCB will normally void any cashback claim.

I've had very little problems with TCB to be fair, I generally consider the cashback a bonus rather than reason to buy.

Looking at my recent cashback history all of the £0.00 earnings are where the product I bought did not qualify for cashback or I used a voucher code, or the order was cancelled.

Only have 3 claims refused - 1 I know was because of a voucher used, other 2 I'm not sure about, not bad over 5 years and £400+ of cashback.

I am waiting on £157.50 for a Sky package I got coming up 3 months ago. I think it did say it can take 3 months to pay out. If it is confirmed will I get it or will they drop it down to £5 or something.

Take a screenshot for peace of mind... my experience is they pay out the correct amount though. I've had massive amounts for Sky Talk Talk Aviva British Gas Hastings Talkmobile Esure M&S Energy AA Rac to name but a few that ALL paid the correct amount.

funny you mention this, i had a tesco broadband track at £35, then out of nowhere totally disapered off my account... in the process of putting in a claim and no response for one month..

I just don't understand why I never have problems with TCB. £1572 I have had paid out £41 pending £8 confirmed ... never used quidco.

Just an update, my £30 talk talk mobile CashBack has moved from pending to confirmed. So now only £11 pending :)

Yes indeed. My total via topcashback is currently £1832.48. I have been with them since I left Quidco with who I had received over £1500 in cashback. I have and always do, done it right, but recently u will not always get ya dosh. That's the problem, topcashback seem to have lost their way and since Sept 1st 2013, only 2 smaller items have easily tracked, a £52 cashback only tracked after a nudge and nothing else has since. There are numerous reports that Quidco seems to have resolved many problems and I have now had 3 purchases through them recently and all tracked within minutes.

After careful consideration we have decided to close our forum.

We have been reviewing our customer services standards whilst the forum has been undergoing essential maintenance, and we have found that we are able to assist our members more efficiently via the support ticketing system than we can when questions were being asked via the various forum threads.

The support ticketing system allows us to collect all the relevant information we need to help with your query and will always guarantee a response from a TopCashback representative.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this decision.

I'm not sure why so many people are having problems, it must be retailer specific. I use TCB on my PC, mobile and tablet and have only ever had a major issue with Tesco Direct and a minor issue with GAME.

I was hoping that the forum will be back online but now that TCB have decided to officially close the forum, other TCB members will know less what is really going on with their disputed cashbacks. No doubt most complaints will be raised on the MSE forums from now on where regular TCB reps hang around trying to dispel, OK, trying to help their loyal members.

Go to TCB's Facebook or Twitter pages, people always moan on there too. I can't see TCB getting rid of those. ;)

topcashback have closed their forums, I wonder why.
I am still sending nudges for a non payment of £80.43 after spending £2297.98 on a holiday for 2 with Thomas Cook, if any one knows a way I can take this further, please let me know
