Does anyone know the easiest / cheapest way to get a return trip from Newquay (town centre) to Boscastle? 2 people

We don't drive and are on a coach trip

There is a western greyhound bus 510 from Newquay to Camelford, I guess you could then get either another local bus 594 or a taxi, looks around 6-8 miles.

I hope you do mean Newquay rather than Torquay as in the title. It took me ages to track down the timetable!! Hey Ho...

We don't have much in the way of public transport in N Cornwall.

You have to remember I only had my phone for Internet access and was trying to use it as little as possible as I was on holiday

In the end we ended up going up to Padstow on the coach as it was going there anyway, then found a private taxi driver who took us up to Boscastle and then back again right down to our hotel in Newquay which was much much easier than working out the Sunday bus network (And considering Boscastle had no signal for the o2 mobile network it was rather lucky!).

Wasn't as cheap but worth it for the excellent sights of Boscastle. And not as ridiculous as one company who were willing to take us there for £75 from Padstow. ONE WAY!

Fair enough...I'll take that as a thank you. *wink*. I hadn't realised from your OP that you were actually already on the trip. I assumed that you were planning it.

Glad that you managed to get there anyway...like I said, N Cornwall isn't much good on public transport.:w00t:..and you can forget it on a Sunday....as you found out.
Hope you had a good clamber around and the wind wasn't too chilly.
