Hello, i recently bought the Toshiba 37XV635DB from Play.com for £550, intending on getting the £100 cashback from it.

however, not only did it take them 3 days to process my order, and 6 to deliver it (during which they gave me a tracking code showing it had been shipper from worchester to bolton before it arrived in leeds).

And now i finally have my TV, there was no invoice with it, despite the delivery guy assuring me it was in the box. So now i have no invoice to send off to get my cashback with. i have spoken to 7 people from play.com from their indian call centre, with varying responses from we cant issue another invoice, to it must be in the box to we can email you a copy of it even though it wont be accepted by toshiba. Included in my 7 calls were 2 people who put the phone down on me after 31 and 15 minute long calls. multiple people who told me managers weren't available, and multiple manager who told me there was nothing they could do.

I was going to order the TV from Co-Op for £560 as they offered next day delivery but i figured i could wait to get it from play and save that tenner. how i regret that.

having used play.com for years, i have never experienced such bad customer service, if only i had've just bought it from coop :(

Phone and ask (P&MM Ltd - the company who are doing the cashback promotion for Toshiba) if they will accept your order confirmation email printout maybe?

and the purchase had to be made by the 11th in order for it to count, which has obviously passed now.

He told me he was personally dealing with the Toshiba promotion when I called to check Postcodes following the Amazon website mix-up.

rung them up, they told me to post off what i have got, and that they have put a note on my account and i sent a cover letter with the cashback claim explaining.

i also rung play again and they said they will ring up toshiba on my behalf on tuesday. however i am far confidence they will do this, and so will be calling them again tuesday to have it out with them once more i expect.

i will avoid play.com forever more. such a useless company.
