thanks folks.

want to get it from www.newreg.co.uk as theyre the cheapest but cant find the hidden fees ...
#18
cross that, found it

VAT on Registration Mark: £21.39 Compulsory DOT Transfer Fee: £80.00
comes out to £1 cheaper here than DVLA.
#19
Sorry if it's obvious but you will also have to pay to get the plates made up when you get the paper work - about 4 years ago i paid £18 from Halfords.

thanks melmorc
its actually because of the plates i need made that i got the idea of a private number plate. Getting german plates made for the car and as these arent cheap, i thought id get the private number ive been after and get it made relative to that.
Cheers !

strange - ive seen a few and theyre around the same price on either sit. Might be a "hot deal" then if you can get it for that price from dvla!
#23
I wouldn't want one for free, to be honest.

Brings attention to you, very "see me" vain things to have.:giggle:

Just my opinion though.
#24
Just change your name by deed poll to the registration you have now, it will be much cheaper:)

My reg is basically my initials and doesnt spell out some obscure or rude word.....I bought it as an investment. I know it will be worth far more money as the years roll by.
