I would like to use the various applications on the mocado forums to upgrade my Vega with flash android market etc.

I have read most of the gumf on there but fail at the first hurdle as it were?

'this assumes you have 'adb' on your machine'

The first hurdle is above i'm trying to install clockwork recovery onto it can anyone please point me in the right direction.

Many thanks.

Does your PC detect your vega correctly and is it in USB debug mode?

To install the modaco rom with all the extras you dont need clockwork recovery, the update installs from a file you run in windows with the vega plugged to your PC.

If you extract the modaco rom .zip to a folder then the install file will be in there.

I havent needed clockwork for anything on my vega yet.

Have you also tried posting for help in the modaco forum?

any instructions will most likely just be what is on the modaco forum.

Yes it does detect and the vega goes into debug mode.

When I double click the file marked install-windows I get a message *daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037*
*daemon started sucessfully*

Then it does nothing?

Many thanks to you both. All sorted now. I used a net book running xp rather than vista and hey presto!

Matt, your procedure does not work on my Windows 7 PC, not even Windows XP compatability mode and running the program as Administrator. It hangs as described by Lady111. It may be my 64 but version of Windows that is causing the problem. Looks like I will have to install Clock Recovery. :-(
