Is there an easy way of findng cheap rail tickets?

I want to travel to see my friend 'down south', and dont care when, I jus would like to find a cheap ticket to do so.

Is there an easier way of finding the cheapest tickets than clicking 'next' through every single journey until you get lucky?

I usually find the cheapest deals 8 - 10 weeks before travel.

Just to add, dont book with the trainline as they charge a booking fee, go direct with the cheapest operator:thumbsup:
