email accounts
settings (SB settings)

how easy is it to transfer all the above and what will i need to do?

If it were me, I would put your phone back to standard, then install everything back on it. Run a backup then plug in your new 3GS and let Apple do the work!!

Amazing difference btw, the 3GS is so much faster.

If your iphone is currently synced with iTunes then all of that will sync up with the new phone apart from SBSetting.

Often wondered this myself... so are you saying an expensive App stored in iTunes such as Tom Tom would transfer on to a number of Phones ?

Yes, they do. Once you have purchased the app you can use it on all your iPod touches and iPhones.

It is also possible but illegal to transfer them onto someone else's phone/pod.

SB Settings, so you have jailbroke. There is an app called backup* cant think of the full name on cydia for a few quid. This will bk up the whole phone including SB settings MXtube etc. (look on youtube for cydia + backup)

If I was you I would not upgrade. Wait till the next Model in June/July - will be announced in March.

If your contract has expired, call O2 and move to iphone Simplicity. This gives you the same deal as current £35 iphone tarrif with more text messages for £25. Simplicity is a 30 day contract, so as soon as new model out you can upgrade \o/

If like me you battery is dodgy now, apple will replace it for £55 plus £7.89 postage.
