transfer sky + stuff ?

is it possible to transfer sky+ recorded programes off your sky box. Getting a newbox tomorrow but have a lot of saved programes on the box. they are programes my sister saved, she is in hospital so does anyone know how to rip them off or transfer them onto another hdd or sky + box

hi there is a pc app which can do this, it's called copy+ but bear in mind that programmes recorded are the original unscrambled transmission, so u will still need to be subscribed to the channels which each individual recording was made from.

oh, and u will need the hard drives out of both and connect them to a pc

i am just getting my box upgraded from the thomson one, will still be subscribing to same channels, have you a link for the program and info?

Also bare in mind that you can only transfer them to your new Sky+ box by removing the hard drives and putting them into a PC which means that you'll need to open the new box up to get to the hard drive and therefore invalidate the warranty.

Why not keep the old box as its yours?
Slightly complicated
Just swop back when your sisters around ring sky to transfer card details and watch programs

Or play into DVD recorder output to TV just means if lots of titles will have to take a few hours to carry out

I know some people might say this is wrong, but the easy way might be just to look on a warez site and download them :D
