Is there no way you can create a text message with a phone book attachment? Or does that only work for single numbers?

you cant even transfer the contacts from the SIM to new phone first?

Sync Blackberry with Microsoft Outlook/Thunderbird (if it is compatible), export to Gmail and then the contacts should magically appear on your phone (ones you have setup your gmail account on the phone).

first copy all sim contacts to your G1 (is it same sim card?) if not will still work in new phone anyway.

Then put sim back in blackberry and delete numbers from sim, then copy from phone to sim for remainng numbers. Then put it in G1 again and transfer numbers from sim to phone. then leave in phone memory or copy all back to sim and leave in phone
