My daughter is expecting her first baby in December, She's been looking at Travel systems, but really would like to see them first before she buy's we live in Essex, Can anyone recomend anywhere where they have them on display? Shes been looking at the Graco ones. She want's to go to Grantham to have a look at some place there but it's a long way to go and I really don't think it would be worth it, There must be somewhere nearer!

you can get them from anywhere hun? All the big mothercares do them.. there's the kiddicare site online thats always been excellent imo...

Bear in mind that if she has her heart already set on one you'll be hard pushed to make her change her mind at this stage of the pregnancy.

But does she really need a whole travel system? I always found it easier to buy the car seat/ pram/buggy/stroller/cosytoes/bag etc all separately xx

They do say to get a lie flat pram for a new born as the car seat their back is always curved in it. Thsi is what my midwife told me x

I had a normal travel system and was in the carseat part alot and she is fine but i have a lie flat pramette for my lad .. who is now 6 months. It was lovely when he was small but he was never a tiny baby so grew out of the lie flat part but 5 months so sold that and got a buzz..... but didnt like it as everyone had one so now i have a maxicost mura. I love it but wouldnt if he was a newborn.

If i had another baby i would either go for a mamas and papas skate or herbie x Just my opinio on things x

love the silver cross have had three of those ( for the last three babies not one after another lol ), have had several Maclarens as they're so light and easy just to throw in the back of the car and use when you have to get out at Tesco's or wherever. Last one i had was a Bugaboo and for a city environment I couldnt have chosen better it was so comfy for the baby xx

it always amazes me how much time these small babies spend in the car seats, the idea of the travel system was good, but the car seat part was only meant for travelling really

our car seat stayed in the car xx

I never used one that clipped to a buggy really, had the silver cross frame but always used it with the pram or buggy fittings not with the car seat xx

I love bouncy chairs bless, I think they look so cute in them :)

I just had to read this through really carefully... I was wondering why you had to fix your coil with a puncture repair kit!!!

:w00t:

I know those strings are really off putting lol xxx

I've only ever had Graco travel systems, my first one was still in that good condition that we used it for our 2nd too, for the third we got a 2nd hand one off ebay for £80(was selling for £300 at toys r us at the time).

For me personally I wouldn't have anything but the graco ones, altho I will say that I'm no a 3 wheeler buggy person, I like mine to have 4 wheels, I also much prefer the plasticy wheels rather than the real ones as well they pick up punctures.

The reason that I loved the graco ones so much was because if you get a good one you get the car seat, the bit that slots into your car, raincover, baby bag and footmuff and all at a very reasonable price.
