Hoping someone can help. Im running vista with avg free. everytime i open firefox or internet explorer avg reports a multiple threat detection of:

C:WindowsSystem32MSIVX {random letters} .dll trojan horse clicker.AALX

it will not let me remove it. Anyone have any ideas its starting to really annoy me.

I keep getting trojanware too. Mine's on comodo or something- it's let me quarantine it every time. Happens about twice a night when I'm on the internet. It's a keylogger every time.

Get on ccleaner too to clear your registry and stuff but do with care, make sure, when offered, do you wish to back up your registry, do so, just in case
It's a powerful piece of software mind.........

shoulda used something better than free AVG.
its a free version for a reason.

cos it only offers limited protection.

if you use something more comprehensive theres a lot less chance you'd be in this situation now.
but trying to get that across to people on here is almost useless.

free AV software is not a present from the vendor cos they like you, its a free sample, like those bits of pastie you get in greggs!
hopefully you'll like it enough to buy the proper one!
