Inquiry commissioned by Birmingham City Council reveals details of religious extremism in 13 schools

Children were taught that all Christians are liars and attempts were made to introduce Sharia law in classrooms as part of an alleged ‘Trojan Horse’ takeover plot of Birmingham schools, an inquiry has found.
The inquiry commissioned by Birmingham City Council found evidence of religious extremism in 13 schools as school governors and teachers tried to promote and enforce radical Islamic values.
Schools put up posters warning children that if they didn’t pray they would “go to hell”, Christmas was cancelled and girls were taught that women who refused to have sex with their husbands would be “punished” by angels “from dusk to dawn”.

The report found that the extremism went unchecked because the council “disastrously” prioritised community cohesion over “doing what is right”.

"Sir Albert Bore, Birmingham's leader, apologised for the council's handling of the scandal. He said: "The actions of a few, including some within the council, have undermined the reputation of our great city.
"We have previously shied away from tackling this problem out of a misguided fear of being accused of racism."

"Student ambassadors, known as "religious police" by some staff, are appointed at Park View to report the names of staff or students who exhibit behaviours deemed unacceptable by conservative Muslims"

"At Anderton Park school incidents of racism were reported. A three-year-old in a nursery said his family were poor because all the Jews and Zionists had all the money. When the school enrolled a white child, a Muslim parent told staff to "get a white chair and white desk and put the white kid in a white corner with a white teacher and keep him away from the others. If that fails get rid of the white kid."

"A group of fundamentalist "activists", mostly men of Pakistani origin, infiltrated the management of at least 10 schools in Birmingham, sometimes breaking the law in order to introduce Muslim worship and sex segregation"

A second report into extremist infiltration of Birmingham schools has uncovered evidence of "coordinated, deliberate and sustained action to introduce an intolerant and aggressive Islamist ethos into some schools in the city".

The conclusion emerges from a leaked draft of a report, commissioned by the former education secretary Michael Gove and written by Peter Clarke, the former head of the Metropolitan police's counterterrorism command, which is due to be published in the next 24 hours.

Clarke said there was a "sustained and coordinated agenda to impose upon children in a number of Birmingham schools the segregationist attitudes and practices of a hardline and politicised strain of Sunni Islam".

The draft, marked as sensitive, added that: "Left unchecked, it would confine schoolchildren within an intolerant, inward-looking monoculture that would severely inhibit their participation in the life of modern Britain".

-Racism

-Sexism

-Homophobia

-Antisemitism

-"Stalin" style surveillance

-Ethnic cleansing ("get rid of the white kid")

-Child abuse

-Fraud

all financed by the tax payer

Yes, well as mentioned before, talking about these things will often get you branded as a racist.

It is clear there has been a hidden agenda in these schools but how many more schools are involved?

Plenty of other unsavoury things going on for those interested.

I'm sick of having to tippie-toe around what you say these days, or be tagged a racist. Why, suddenly over the last 20 years, as a white person, if you disagree with anything to do with the way the country is going, your best not to say anything out loud, but just keep it to yourself. Yet in places like Luton, they can have full scale march against white Christian Britain and not be stopped. Yet if you say ANYTHING against islam or another religion in any way, shape or form, you can be arrested for in-sighting racial hate!!

I'm not a racist, I'm a religionist! I hate the fact that millions of people around the world DIE EVERY YEAR in the name of something that no one can prove is real. If I was a racist, I wouldn't have the beliefs that if you enter this country and can bring a trade that can benefit all here, then we should welcome people with open arms, just like the Australians do.

I agree mate. Reading some of the things posted on this site, it's abundantly clear there are members using hot deals to send a message of hate towards this country and it's values and won't be happy until we are ruled under sharia law.and have either converted or no longer exist.

I'm quite happy for people to have their faith, but if I don't agree with something I don't think I should be subjected to a hate campaign by individuals who appear to be protected on fear they might get upset. The most fanatical and dangerous seem to be the ones who have converted and on a path to radicalisation and openly talk about caliphates and islam on every thing they say.. You've only got to look at ISIS to know the mentality.

I just read where a woman has been stoned to death by ISIS, the first of many no doubt.

I'm pleased however that a Muslim leader has spoken out against this and what is happening in our own schools, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) has said -

“The Muslim leaders and so-called clerics are not righteous or God fearing and as a result those under their influence are being entirely misguided. The clerics are pushing young people, who know no better, towards evil and cruelty by falsely claiming it will lead them towards God.”

and he has the correct attitude towards Britain -

“Britain has provided a home for people from across the world. As Ahmadi Muslims, we give thanks to Queen and Country for allowing us to practice our faith freely. Islam teaches us to be loyal to the country in which we reside and as Ahmadi Muslims we believe it is our duty to serve the country, to contribute to society and promote peace and good citizenship.”

Fair play to him. It's a shame all muslim leaders are not like this guy. I wonder what his take would is on these radicals running this school teaching hate.

His community are launching an advertising campaign this week on buses in Cardiff to counter extremism.

This follows a national youth gathering hosted by the youth wing of the AMC, which brought together 5,000 young British Muslims in the Surrey countryside last weekend to pledge allegiance to Great Britain and raise the Union Jack.

They sound like a decent lot to me, we need more of this type of action we should support them.

ahmadis are not considered real muslims within islam, they are considered a sect .....and you wonder why people think youre islamophobic.

im out

they are considered a sect... by those bigots that seek to marginalise and belittle them
sect is basically always used with negative connotation as your post shows 'not real' ...lol what a obedient puppet,

love for all, hatred for none seems to be a VERY wholesome message
perhaps you are your controllers could learn something from them

I suppose it's easier to try and steal someone else's when your own country lacks wealth and infrastructure and hide it under the title of a religious struggle and I'm betting if that ever happens here then it will come tumbling down very quickly.

All state schools should be secular education only. If people want to set up private funded religious schools then that's up to them.

Is anyone feeling the peace yet?

Unfortunately the Ahmaddiya Muslims are very much a minority with sometime like only 12 million adherents worldwide. They are persecuted by mainstream Islan who sees them as heretics. I know some Ahmadis and they are lovely people, its a crying shame.
#19
that should of course read: something like 12 million. Flipping predictive text.

No doubt sir Fred will try to label me as anti Jewish or anti semitic. As I said on previous occasions, if you criticise, criticise on principles and not target one group only whereas other groups are also engaged in similar practices.

Another link with more information.

Ideally there should be no faith schools but that ain't gonna fly as there are far too many established Christian and Jewish schools already in existence. So the next best option is to have secular education only in all state schools.

That is clearly unacceptable in the same way and has no place in this country.

The generally tolerant nature of this country is being undermined by intolerant people and it should be condemned, they should have no place in this country IMHO. It's 2014 why the hell we can't live in peace is beyond me. What we have here will be lost if we are not careful.

I think the issue with the trojan school scandal was that religion was being pushed on the sly in a state school, which is not acceptable

I must say, your reply sounds very bigoted. Are you suggesting these muslims should be shunned? They sound like very nice people and most welcome with the attitude they have.

No doubt sir Fred will try to label me as anti Jewish or anti semitic. As I said on previous occasions, if you criticise, criticise on principles and not target one group only whereas other groups are also engaged in similar practices.

"The team claims to have found evidence that over 1,000 Orthodox Jewish boys in London are being taken out of school between the ages of 13 and 16 and sent by their parents to yeshivas – fee-paying schools where the curriculum is solely religious."

You do that without my assistance. The story you link to however wrong it is hardly the same and there are similar reports into Muslim fee paying schools and madrassas in the UK which are equally irrelevant to what has gone on in these Birmingham secular state schools.

Now as this thread is not about fee paying religious schools it is about secular state schools if you want to criticise fee paying religious schools perhaps you should start your own thread and I'm sure your principles will ensure that you will give us the lowdown on all reports into such schools not just the Jewish ones.

First you say "If people want to set up private funded religious schools then that's up to them" Then you link to a story about Jewish private funded religious schools in contradiction to your "that's up to them" statement. Or does your ' it's up to them' not include Jews for some reason?

no Fred, its more the illegality of these schools but we already know you have no issues of illegal settlements on Palestinian land no no doubt you're ok with these illegal schools...

quote from the link:
In tonight’s programme, former students of these “illegal” schools speak out against the segregated education they received.

One says: “I didn’t speak English. I only spoke Yiddish. I didn’t even know what the word science meant, I didn’t know the definition, I hadn’t heard this word before. We didn’t come out with anything we could use in daily life or even in the future. When I was a kid I was told terrible things about non-Jews.”

I have no issues with Jews..just showing your compass.

by the way, i have no problem in condemning the trojan horse scandal as my view is that state schools are for secular education only. any attempt to divert that should be dealt with.

by the way, criticising Israel does not mean criticising Jews. I know you would like to conflate the two as one and the same thing but its not. Israel is a state and I can criticise the actions of a state.

Plenty of other unsavoury things going on for those interested.

I suppose it's easier to try and steal someone else's when your own country lacks wealth and infrastructure and hide it under the title of a religious struggle and I'm betting if that ever happens here then it will come tumbling down very quickly.

History shows this is true.....White British and Europeans know this all to well...Colonization of North America, Australasia and South Africa

Britain and Europe lacked the wealth and infrastructure you talk about so they went abroad and stole from others, forget claiming benefits, these guys took everything and killed those that got in the way

Going to someone else's country, not respecting the indigenous population and in some cases killing the natives, stealing land, imposing their own laws and then justifying under the name of Christianity has been the modus operandi for Britain for the last 600 years of its history
