ROFL!!!

Sassie - that is where it is supposed to be...... (in the vault)

LOL the comment about porn...

You get them from surfing the net in general - plus of course the sites that have pop ups pop unders and so on.....

If the vault gets full delete (permanently remove) the folder if it doesn't already do it for you - but it is unlikely that it would be full as AVG or watever softeware you use - will be checking and sorting this out for you......

Happy xmas Sass!

As the post above said, if it isn't you going on somewhat less scrupulous sites - then maybe the norty children or hubby are! LOL! xxx But, yes it is right - it is - in general to do with the sites that are visited rather than it just arriving by accident....

kids or more likely husband almost certainly looking at hardcore pornography. If he/they are heavy users, it may be that the virus software just can't cope.

asked daughter and she said she aint been looking at porn, and i aint, but we know it aint just porn, but if it makes you all feel better to think my daughter or me is at it, then fair enough, thanks to those who have helped

funny that because my mummy asked me if I looked at porn, and I said no as well. Then I went blind and had bad arthritis in my right hand. She found out I lied :(

Anyway being serious for a sec, might wanna try these:

Trouble causer or what - I can honestly say my computer has never been on a porn site - and trojans can be picked up from anywhere, I have picked one up from an auction site - and another from a nursery site - as in plants, how do these sites get them to pass them on - that's what I want to know

Please see the links above. The first stage is admitting there is a problem.

It will be safe in the vault where it will stay - you don't have to empty the vault -as the vault takes care of it for you..... In most cases.....

Install the newer bersion by all means Sass - OR update the version you have online as this will be pretty much one and the same result... Dont delete AVG totally then start from scratch, as that wont benefit you -but by all means install the newversion or update you version, then wen the computer sees that you lready have a version installed it will do all the hard wrk for you... Like installing the latest version and so on.

Switch to Avast anti-virus, it's much better than AVG.
And Trojans can be picked up from any website, or you don't need to even be on a website, you could pick it up from downloading a movie etc.

You cannot get a Trojan from - and I have quoted specifically - "downloading a movie"

Not possible. Its either a movie, or a virus, or a zip with a file like "click me for more videos" and you are a bit dense and click it.

TBH, if thats what you think, its no wonder your virus ridden.

I have some sympathy for victims of drive by downloads, but downloading a movie does not give you a Trojan. Being a complete idiot - does.

lol.

brb downloading avatar_hd_complete_no_fake.avi.exe - file size: 3meg.

It's worth noting that trojans and viruses often hide in the system restore files, so you may have the same one popping up because it isnt deleted. Virus programs dont remove viruses from system restore files because they are protected.

Yes Sassie - go to the update part on the site and update it for the newer version.
If you cant find that just 'install' the newer version over the top of the version that you already have. The computer will tell you that you already have a version of this running on your computer and will ask you if you wish to install the newere version, update and so on, then click yes and away you go.

If you want of need any help, let me know and I will do it with you if you like.

What i should have wrote was programmes, i was just talking about pirate software.
What i meant was, say you download a package containing a movie, this can give you a virus.

I'm not too sure what you are talking about. Are you talking about the warning you get if you try to go on a dangerous website? It shouldn't warn you about non-dangerous websites so maybe the problem you specified has been updated already.
