trouser braces

dunno if thats the correct spelling for those braces u use to hold trousers up.... my son has a nice chunky waistline and i just cant manage to keep his trousers up.... we have bought him loose school trousers which fall down, or tight ones which still ultimately slip....and today the tight ones with a elasticated belt...but he says they still fall down.

thinking only thing to do is get braces..... but i have never seen any for kids..he is 5 by the way.

thanks for reading. any help be greatly appreciated.

i dont want to cos i reckon he will get picked on for it as well, but then his butt is always on display which isnt gonna make it any easier for him

the belt work he says. was those elasticated ones that hook up at the end....u reckon a proper belt be better?
#5
oh dont subject him to braces. Seriously, a belt must be able to do an adequate job

haha looks like braces isnt gonna be a good idea... have found some companies who do them..... but trying to find a company i have heard of.... will try the leather belt on him...otherwise it be braces...they go over the shirt dont they?

only thing on his side is that his teacher is real old and she suggested it as well ... plus its a private school...so the kids arent AS bad...but then they are still kids i guess

Mothercare do belts where the buckle has like a sliding thingy which holds the belt in place - rubbish description I know but if you are concerned about the braces it might be an option

My chunky lad had this problem has big hips but no waist to keep trousers up but scince I put him in BHS generous fit school trousers problem not as bad, they are not the ones with the ADJUSTABLE waists that really arent!!!

I used to wear braces when I was kid but it was the 80's. Unfortunately nowadays it would be a magnet for ridicule. I've been meaning to get some myself. I think they're proper stylish.
