trying to buy 10 giffgaff goodybag?

smiffy1888smiffy1888

hi folks wonder if someone could offer a quick bit of advice please.

got my lad a new phone for christmas, ordered a giffgaff sim then bought a goodybag on the 24th of dec, before i stepped foot in the door after work today the laddies nipping my head about running out of credit etc, i said no problem i will log onto giffgaff and buy another goodybag which i was going to do last week but forgot.

anyway when i am trying to purchase the goodybag i get a message saying ""At this moment you can only top-up your account. Please come back later if you want to buy a goodybag."" has anyone else had this, is it unusual or normal, do i have to topup before buying a goodybag etc

sorry for dumb questions but all my contracts in the past for myself, wife, kids have been run of the mill fone contracts or sim only contracts and this is the first time ive had to manually purchase credit myself so not to sure of the proper procedure

thanks to anyone who can help or advise

Sometimes the system goes down and you can't buy goodybags, maybe they simply can'y take card payments at the minute?

you may be better off posting in their forums about this?

you have to purchase credit first before you can buy a goody bag. I bought credit with a voucher then bought a goody bag with the credit. It is safer using a voucher online than your credit card.

I thought that the goody bags last about 30 days and if you use everything in the goody bag before that you can only add normal credit (not discounted goody bags) and then after the 30 days you can buy another goody bag

Their website has going mental all day. I couldn't log in earlier, then could and now I cant again. Loads of people are also having problems topping up. A quick twitter search shows they are all over the place right now.

As for the voucher, you can buy an o2 voucher and add it via the website (when its up and running again).
