Even if you bluff it out & end up cancelling they still call back offering deals. I left sky a month ago & now they're offering me free HD box & half price subs for a year to come back to them. If they're not tied in anymore you should at least get a free HD or sky+ box & half price for six months.

Whether or not it's still happening I don't know, but it would be worth your while phoning up and asking.

Btw, if you're not the account holder it's unlikley you'll be able to add anything to the account....

what is it your out-laws actually want?

that will define whether its a good deal or not.

I phoned last week with the old answer machine message line. Got a free HD box, free install and free 12 month subscription to the HD pack. The also cut my multiroom sub from £10 to £5 and are putting in another feed so I can move my sky + box upstair.

I tried ringing about a month ago for her and asked for sky+ box and they couldn't offer me anything, tried charging her for installation and the box! she's been a good customer for so long I'd have thought they'd have offered her something. hopefully I'll get someone more helpfull this time
