Then - look for something you enjoy - rather them something you think your good atl :)
#11
There a lot of people who do jobs they don't really like, even though they might be good at it,they may get fed up at times.
#12
You will be a very lucky person if you get a job which you absolutely love and is what you have always dreamed of doing.
Most people fall into a job or get one just to get by and pay the bills.
If you haven't got a passion for anything then its going to be hard suggesting anything?

I can see you failing, why you asking other people with what you should do for the rest of your life, just go on a holiday "find yourself" or something.
#15
well i've enjoyed alot of thing. hate being stuck doing the same thing day in day out. cant sit on my **** in an office all day either. i like days where sometimes i think about things and others i can just switch my brain off. dont mind working with computers yet also enjoy getting my hands dirty. been doing the doors for 2 years now and enjoy talking to different people all the time too.

Maybe you should just stay as doorman, suppose every shift is always different.

I think it can get to a lot of people like doing the same thing day in day out, like some might get bored pushing stuff through scanner at till.
#19
the door work is only part time (fri and sat) and is just for the extra money.

what qualifications you got?

It takes a three year course at one of eight universities and a pre registration (training year) before you are fully qualified - i am currently in my final year of this course - if you have any questions let me know
#22
Each of the eight unis that provide the course have their own requirements which can be found the ucas course - what quals do you have/doing?
#23
At moment,I'm considering going to college for a free course. Then if I get into it,and what not, then I going consider doing something in the long term, but I ain't sure yet.
#24
well i have 5b 4c gcse grades from school and my sia door supervisor licence. thats it really.
#25
Take a morden apprentiship in something that you enjoy, it will get you money and you get to so something you enjoy, college is not that fun and jumping stright in a job could leave you in a dead end jod with no prospects of moving up in that job
#26
how about training for an overseas holiday rep ? lots of variety there .... get to see the world, have some fun & of course lots of new ladies to meet
probably be able to happy clap too :) lol

Er, no....never, ever, ever....
#38
LOL. where do you go then?
#39
Ace,

It sounds like you need a fresh, out-of-the-box challenge.

I don't know if you're just in a rut (happens to us all at some time) or if you are up for a life changing experience.

If it's the latter, why not consider voluntary work in the third world?

It's a big scary idea because of the uncertainty of it all but you are a mature guy (seen your other posts) but it would give you time to just reassess everything in your life and give you unique experiences that would equip you with attractive job skills that will increase your prospects when you return. It would be the kind of experience that counts for much more than a couple of A levels.

Might be an idea to look at positives and negatives of such a decision. You know the kind of thing;

Reasons to stay / Reasons to go
Friends & family / New friends
Safe / Challenging
Earning money / Working for nothing
etc
Just a thought. Hope this helps, and best of luck whatever you decide.
