I have a approx. 2 year old Bush TV (its a CRT (if that means not plasma/LCD)) and for some reason the colours have swapped over.

I put it on to watch the football at the weekend and the pitch was blue and Everton were planying in red (highly amusing as a Liverpool fan!) The picture quality is perfect, it just seems like the TV is confused. In the days since, the colours have swapped round again after it went back to normal once. Took it apart last night and dusted the inside and it went back to normal but I don't think it will last.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks!

yep - knackered. about the right length of time for a bush but you could claim from the retailer as not fit for purpose under the SOGA.

A TV should last longer than 2 years!

Then again, Bush et al aren't fit for purpose from day one lol

I would love to! I have my eye on a 40" flat screen but my pockets aren't deep enough yet!

Sounds to me like the cable is dodgy... have you got another you could try?

May be worth a claim. I was a foolish student at the time and saw a 28" TV for £120 and had to have it!

your colour gun has gone, where we don't know but where ever it is it's probably not a clue on the match score,i would suggest taking it to the tip or drop it of out side a cash generators when they are closed

I am an Everton Fan so should not be helping!!! But you sure a magnet has not been near it? you could try dragging thecolours off so they look correct with a Magnet if so? I have done this and it does work but you need to take your time with it.

That's ****! I presume then if the colour alternates between normal and incorrect that it is just on the blink? Do you know if the colour gun can be replaced/fixed?

Its next to the sub for my surround sound so thats a possibility. Will a magnet not distort the picture display though?

p.s. my gf is a toffee so I don't mind them, just of all the teams for that to happen to...

Its typicial a Toffee in Red is not right!!!

using a magnet to drag the colours off the screen will not distort the picture at all, but you need to drag the coulors off to the corners and it can take some time, and i would not use a fridge magnet as there to small and it gets anoying but dont use one to big either. a fridge magnet is good when it is nearly finished and you are just sorting the edges out.
