My friend wants to connect his laptop to his CRT but his laptop has no s video. Is it possible to connect the laptop to the tv via vga somehow or some other way?

Initially i advised him that using a vga to s video and then and s video to RGB scart might work but after seeing this on ebay something tells me its not that easy (250260593691)

How would he do it? Any help appreciated

You might be able to use a vga to component cable then a component to scart adaptor.

Might need to set output to 50Hz though if the tv doesnt support NTSC
