Offer them a cup of tea as soon as you open the door

No its not in their job description. They are there to deliver it to your premises, ie inside the front door, but i'm sure they will carry it to any room that you want if you just ask them.

Depends if you're a female... and hot! :p

I'm sure they'll help out if you get involved :)

You can ask but they can say no

Why do you want them to take it upstairs?

If it's a 37" CRT, I could see a problem, but if it's a Plasma, LCD or LED etc, they are so light that a woman can carry one without a problem.

Really? I always thought that they were all the same kind of weight.
How old is it, or doesn't that matter?

I have a 42" LCD, and was astounded by how light it was.

Have a 37" LED / LCD in the bedroom and it is scary light, but the living room is a 55" LG Plasma (about 12 months old) and REALLY heavy!

I would say 99% sure they will refuse to do it on H&S grounds.

As above depending on size it may not be that light or size friendly.

Plasma's have a glass front, adds considerable weight and so thicker/more housing to keep it in. My 42 Samsung is only around 30KG but is 6 months old. LCD and LED are really light.

If it's a glass stand, it will be heavier than the TV guaranteed.

The TV may be fairly light, but dependent on the size, may be a little awkward to carry upstairs alone. Juts ask, can you give me a hand putting it upstairs. The worst they can say is no.
