I am buying a Humax HD Freesat box for myself. The new house I am moving to hasnt got a dish installed. I would need to buy myself a new dish and all the stuff required like cables.

Which dish would do the job properly ? And what LNB`s etc would I need as I dont have much knowdelge and also the type of cables I would need.

Any help much appriciated.

and where to get a normal dish ? what other types of dish are available ? sorry but i am totally new to this

Buy a sky freesat package. Then when the installer comes to install it ask him to put a twin lmb up the extra cabling (will only cost you a little) then you can have the humax in one room and the sky in another. Plus it will be a great bonus for your house mates.

what is EXTRA GAIN dish ? i just read somewhere that regular sky minidish wont be suitable

what is EXTRA GAIN dish ? i just read somewhere that regular sky minidish wont be suitable for BBC HD and ITV HD

An extra gain dish is a bigger dish if you live outside of the normal spread for sky, like far north of scotland.
