Ive tried using the buttons on the side of the tv to get it on as i need to get to HDMI1 for the sky but it says "panel lock" on the screen with a picture of a padlock every time i press any of the buttons. Any help on how to get the side buttons working please. Im not sure what model TV i have but its a toshiba 42" 1080p regza if thats any help and on the bottom of the remote it says toshiba CT-90307. Please help i cant live without TV......

the panels are locked/unlocked by a menu in the setup of the TV. i doubt there's a way to unlock without the remote but i might be wrong. you can use a sky remote to work the tv (including switching av modes) but your best bet long term is to strip down the remote control and thoroughly clean it and then air dry it for a few days.

do you have your sky remote coded to the tv? if so pressing the help key (after first putting the remote into tv mode) will cycle through the various sources

edit btw if you activate scart control in the sky boxes menus then it will auto switch to sky and the sky code for your remote is 0536 if its the same as mine, which i'm pretty sure it is
