how long will that be?

It's not even properly known when HD Freeview will be available, let alone built in to HD sets. Could be a few years. Not a reason to wait imo. When the freeview HD boxes do come out, they will not be stupidly expensive anyway. Plus, HD Freeview built in to HDTVs will obviously only be on the latest models and therefore even more expensive.

November the 4th when Granada switches over?

I might send them an email to clarify the release date of the equipment. I was on the verge of getting that 22" LG full HD LCD TV with built-in freeview that has been in the Deals section a few times but the freeview technology in that will be out of date in 2 months.

The first three HD channels will be available as digital switchover takes place in the Granada TV region in the north-west of England and subsequent regions from 2009. All four HD channels should be available across the country by the time digital switchover is due to be completed in 2012.
