Twilight hacking the Wii - do I need to leave the SD card in the Wii after?

£0.00 @
As above. Can I take the SD card out and use it for other things once I have used it for the softmodding? Thanks

As far as I can remember the card needs to stay in the wii as their is an "apps" folder that the hombrew channel loads any extras you have put on

I could be wrong as not updated my homebrew browser for a while

No. remove the card. stops the kids from bricking your wii.

Thanks both of you - you sounded more confident Shane, was hoping someone else can confirm? :)

I've heard of a new softmod for the Wii which works on firmware 4 and doesn't even need Zelda. btw, you can remove the SD card

I have heard of it too but not read up about it - zelda was technical enough for me - and thanks :)

Card can be removed.
however if it is you will not be able to access any applications unless you have used WADs to install directly to the Wii

Has anyone tried punch out with the backup loader gamma?

it is quite possibly the easiest thing to do ever.
as long as you have a copy of the twilight princess and an SD card you are sorted.

Happy Modding :)

And make sure you ave an adaptor so you can stick the SD card into your computer - slipped my mind so just thought I would point it out.

It is very easy, just follow the instructions to the letter

The main problem I have is getting any of the bl**dy game downloaded correctly :x

interesting.
make sure you are downloading PAL isos and then just rip the image to a disc and it should work fine :)

I always get problems when downloading - a couple of files will be corrupt so I have to download them again then as well I get all sorts of error messages when I am trying to unzip the files, just gave up in the end. All I got out of it was Mr Bean game and Spongebob Squarepants - couldn't get any of the ones I really wanted :-(

i had this problem, turned out to be the program i was using to unzip. my preferred choice usually is tug zip, but i noticed a few games would always unzip with errors so i tried winzip and unzipped them perfectly.

use 7zip to unzip the files. You should just end up with a .ISO file
