My daughter has watched "Twilight" so much now the DvD is almost worn out.

She's SO excited about New Moon coming out.

We have several copies of the books so both girls can read them at once... without death being caused to either party in the process.

The girls LOVE this idea of vampiricism.

Bodily change ( issues with blood ) hormones, strength, control.

It's the whole female TEEN thing.

Once they can leave off with the vampire thingy... they're close to being adults!

Agreed COM, my 15 year old is all in a tiz because we're going away the weekend New Moon is released, she isn't impressed that I could "ruin her life" so easily ... lol

Ok, maybe she isn't quite that bad, but to say she is excited about the new movie is an understatement.

Deffo a teen thing.

It's a teen thing, although I thought the film was really good.

I guess it's who they would love to be in 5 years or so.(yes the daughter would like to be a vampire before anyone asks)

Our house is counting down the hours, literally.

You'll love this...lol!!

"Esquire magazine says chicks go bananas for vampire love stories because we lust after ... wait for it ... gay guys. Gay guys don’t want to be with us the way vampires can’t be with us and you know us ladies: we just want what we cannot have. "

I'm sticking with the teen thing :)

To be fair, I just think he's hot...I don't want to be a vampire! I won't deny the teen thing though, I've probably got the mental age of a 13 year old.

now that i do agree with, waaaay too childlike imo......

I saw the film and just saw it as pretty people standing around for ages, like a feature length Hollyoaks but focusing on just a few characters and about vampires.

Nothing seemed to happen in it.

Well the book has a very unlikeable bella character and strong undertones of bella and alice *liking* each other too much. In addition to bella liking jacob and edward.
#39
Aside from the perving opportunity, the acting is terrible in Twilight.

I found it bloody brilliant.....the scene where edward and (insert character) stared at each other was soo funny.
