run flat tyres will have the logo RSC in a circle on the sidewall of the tyre to denote they are run flats.
#5
oh dear I hope this isn't one of those cases of an ebay bidder that everyone on here slates and complains about. The bid now, ask questions later then retracts from the commitment due to not wanting the item.

Good luck with finding the info.

I had a quick search for info and it appears you need a tire pressure monitoring system installed
otherwise you can get a flat and not know about it

cheers mate.

would they be able to be used just a normal tyre?

i found the flat the next day after i went out to get the shopping so must have managed to drive home with the dirty big nail in it lol

cheers for the help

its mainly the high end market cars that have run flats & as WTP has pointed out if you have no way of an indication they are flat, you will run on them & knacker the tyres or rims.

If the nail went through the tread and not the wall, you can get the nail hole professionally repaired / plugged for a few quid if the tyre still has plenty of life left in it.

Two other options are:

1. Tyre repair if the side wall is not damaged.
2. Part worn tyre, usually about £25 for branded tyres.

Run flat tyres.

Worst invention ever, absolutely ruins the handling and grip of almost any car they are fitted to IMO.

No 207s have run flats as standard. As far as I am aware so long as they are the right size then they fit. But I wouldn't buy them.

Google camskill and buy from there.

just looked there

they list 2 types for my tyre size

R 16 and RF 16, rf being run flat and my tyre only states R16 so im guessing i aint got no run flats.

jesus, places done even ask when you call and state tyre size

R16 is R=Radial & the 16 is rim diameter in inches.

195= The tyre section width in millimetres (That is the width of the tyre tread)
55 = The aspect ratio in % (the height of the sidewall divided by the tyre's width)
16=rim diameter in inches
87=Load Index
V +speed rating

Why don't you just take your car to a tyre specialist company and get it sorted?
