... from the band I first saw live in Dublin in 1984.

Now go tie yourself with wire, kids.

I adore U2! Watched them live a few years ago and was blown away.

seen em live a good few times and they are a great band but in my opinion no line on the horizon is their worst album to date-very disappointing.

I used to like spacehoppers and hula hoops, but that was a long time ago.

They are good live, eh? I've seen them four or five times and they've never disappointed.

Really? I've just listened through once and I'm impressed. A couple of their earlier albums had the opposite impact on me - I had to work hard to like them - but this one is very comfortable for someone who has been a long-time fan. No nasty surprises like in Zooropa... :)

I agree Liddle 'ol me.

I found it an easier first listen than the last couple. Love the first three songs, definite Acthung Baby feel to some which is cool for me as its probably my favourite album of theirs.

Some of the songs I wasn't blown away by but hopefully they will be growers. Didn't like Fly when I first heard it, but now its one of my Top 3.

Look forward to putting it through my amp next week instead of Spotify & Laptop speakers.

@ plopster - I also think it has a similar feel to Achtung Baby, my favourite U2 album to date. Perhaps that's why I'm so comfortable with it. Glad to hear you feel the same.

Good last lines to the final song too...

Choose your enemies carefully 'cos they will define you
Make them interesting 'cos in some ways they will mind you.
They're not there in the beginning but when your story ends
Gonna last with you longer than your friends
