Whilst they are a "supergroup" they wont headline Glasto. I would be surprised if they did.

Rumours are it will be Coldplay. I would rather have U2.

heard this morning...gutted:-( seen them 5 times on their own but they would have put on an incredible show on the pyramid stage.

Just hope they get a decent act to replace them

Ah well, there's still loads of bands to see and i'm taking the little fella this year so we'll still have a great time

nothing confirmed, he was supporting anyway so not really a replacement.

he's not good enough to headline the pyramid stage anyway, other stage..possibly but has he really got the songs to do a one and a half hour set?

It wont, this year, be open from Tuesday.
#19
It wont open Tuesday. Not until they renew the licence for the festival which I think is 2012.

Don't really understand the point of that anyway, it is to avoid road congestion and entrance to the festival but people go on Wednesday as that is the first day you are allowed in, moving it to Tuesday means everyone will turn up then instead.

The reason is that a few who usually buy weekend tickets would buy an early entry ticket.

Their Event Safety Management Plan caters for traffic for the level of the festival so I wouldnt worry about that being an issue.

Hope not.

Radiohead to make a return would be perfect. Chances are slimmer than a prematurely born Ethiopian child.

It wont be Rod. They have their "oldie" for Sunday. What an act though. Stevie Wonder will be awesome.

Muse are now a bit, meh.

I just pray that it is not Coldplay.

But there is only one ticket you can buy :?

I know they cater for the traffic but last year there was queues stretching for 15 miles at it's peak. Affecting people who weren't anywhere near the festival and with no plans to attend.

They are trying to bring in the Tuesday entry to alleviate this a little but as I said. I cannot see it working too well.
#25
radiohead would be brilliant, still one of my glastonbury highlights, their 2003 show.

Coldplay would ruin my festival. Even though I'm not forced to watch them just knowing I'm in a 5 mile radius of Chris Martin is quite soul destroying.

RATM would be ideal though.

What I meant is that when they do allow Tuesday entrance they will put this additional ticket on sale.

Not surprised. 135,000 people last year?

Think I might head up on Tuesday night to get settled in. I like a nice perk.

They won't do it though. It's depressing I know.

Their 2003 performance did look pretty special. Wish I could have been there.

Yeah, they would.

Even though I am going to 5 festivals I cannot make Download so I wouldnt mind seeing them.

led zep would be epic-dont think it will happen tho-thing is the tickets are sold now on the strength of u2 and no refund entitled so there isnt exactly a huge incentive for eavis to come up with anyone huge is there?

would need to be someone who is rehearsed and probably already touring wouldnt it? mccartney could happen-spingsteen did glastonbury AND hyde park, stevie wonder is doing it too so its possible.

bon jovi anyone? If it was zepellin I would sell all my children for a ticket btw!

...there would be many people annoyed if they didnt get someone along the same popularity level as U2. It will be an interesting one.

Oh I see, possibly could see that happening.

Not long before a ticket will break the £200 barrier. Still worth every penny though. Was £115 when I started going, when it first started you could go into Glastonbury buy a pint of milk and you get a free ticket :w00t:

Yeah think it was around 135,000 last year possibly more.

I thought you weren't going this year iirc, think you mentioned it on your thread when the Reading line up was announced.

I have been given some tickets and I cannot go to Download and I want to see Slash! I am going to go for the whole weekend now. Not just the Sunday.
