Ugh

So, I woke up this morning with stomach cramps and that horrible feeling in my belly that says that if I try and fart, something awful like a fountain will happen. I ran down to the toilet and made it there without anything brown and nasty dribbling down my leg. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for ten minutes ago, when I had the misfortune of sneezing.

Anyone ever written a letter to a supermarket demanding compensation for giving them food poisoning before? Did you have any sucess?

lol - no writing a letter wont work as you cannot prove the source of infection. This time of year its likely to be a viral gastroenteritis like norwalk virus or rotavirus. This wouldnt be caught from food. You will be fine in 24-72 hours. just keep fluids up.

If you are fairly certain it's food poisoning then go to you Dr or even hospital as soon as you can and it sounds gross but they will take a stool sample and send it off, they can tell if it's food poisoning. Don't ask me how you collect squits in a sample pot cos I have never had to get a stool sample! :w00t: If it is food poisoning then they contact environmental health who then investigate how it happened etc.

Hope you feel better soon

There is a very very bad stomach bug going around. Its knocking people for six however if you feel it is food poisoning then get a sample done. If you have any good left over you ate yesterday that would be helpful.

Sorry. Surely it's the manufacturer of the 'food' that are liable?
