Was browsing around a different forum and came across a similar thread, and was wondering on your opinions.
What's everyone's opinion on 'underage teen drinking'? (I use that term loosely). By underage teen drinking I mean drinking alcohol (in public) for people aged under 18, most noticeably 14-16 year olds.
There is no under-age teen drinking law, if your beer is confiscated by the police, its for consuming it in a public place (can't remember the exact name) and disturbing the peace.
It's illegal for under 18s, sometimes 21 year-olds, to purchase booze.
10% of 12-15 yr-old drinkers say they buy their own alcohol.1 63% of 16-17 yr-olds have bought their own booze in pubs, nightclubs and bars.
54% of 11-12 year olds said they drank at home or at someone else's home. 33% of 15 yr-olds drank alcohol in a pub or bar and 26% of 14-yr-olds said they drank at parties with friends.
I believe drinking 'underage' is OK (even if you're paraletic) as long as you are not disturbing anyone else, causing a nusience, at home or someone elses house, and generally being normal (as in not acting an idiot about it).
edit; I drink Cider (Strongbow) mostly, but I prefer Alcopops and Spirits as they taste nicer and are, usually, stronger, although they do make you feel even more bloated than Strongbow does!
