ukdvdr.co.uk - is this a reliable website?

I've been after a good poker set for a while now and came across this deal on ukdvdr.co.uk...

http://new.ukdvdr.co.uk/product.php?product=ARGOS434

Now, anyone who knows anything about poker will know anything to do with the World Series of Poker usually carries a premium price tag. They'll also know that when ordering poker chips, poker sets, etc., postage is usually quite hefty due to the weight - yet they're only charging 99p for delivery!

These sets are at 'Buy It Now' for the sums of £60, £70, etc. on E-bay, and that doesn't include the £10 or £15 postage...

I found an American website selling the exact same poker set for $99, so how can they sell it for about £22 delivered?!

They've spelt "professional" wrong too, which always sets off alarm bells with me... but after a quick search I've read some people say they're a good site?

The saying "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" is screaming out here, yet I'm tempted...

Someone please assure me?

Thanks a lot for the quick reply, Steven. It's much appreciated :)

I just wanted to check with the fine members of HUKD first, because us lot know a dodgy deal and a good deal when we see one! This just seemed a bit of both, though. I just still can't get my head around the fact that it's £22 delivered...that is ridiculously cheap! Absolutely ridiculous.

Shipping is £6.99 at BigPockets so that takes it over £30, but even so that's still cheap compared to some of the poker sets I've been looking at.

Have a look on The Sports HQ website or Squirrel Poker to see how expensive some sets are, and the WSOP set is far better quality.

And which sets were you looking at on E-bay? They're 500 11.5g chip sets on there, but the cheapest I've seen is about £25 included delivery... I doubt you'll find a proper 500 11.5g WSOP chip set on E-bay for less than £30 delivered.

I dont like this wsop set because the chips look plain, in all honesty I think you'd be disappointed with these.

I like the WPT set that you can get at drinkstuff but they are expensive.

There is another WSOP set that is very fancy tho but no doubt very expensive.

For they money though, 500 11.5g chips, two packs of cards, aluminium case, etc., it's worth it even if the chips are a little plain. It's a better deal than the ones I've been looking at on e-bay.

Put your money on Daniel Lenham to get a bracelet this year!! He's a mate of mine, hopefully he'll do well.

Oh and UKDVDR are legit!

AshleyRFC - do you have this set, or have you seen it elsewhere? I can't get a good look at the chips so I don't know if they're plain...

If anyone could help me narrow down these choices, I'd really appreciate it. Ashley has got me thinking about those chips, now. Dug a little deeper and it seems Amazon used to sell the same set, it had a total of three and a half stars out of five. Not too bad, but one guy said the chips are a little disappointed, simply because he expected World Series of Poker style chips.

Anyway, I've found...

https://www.dicefire.co.uk/Poker_Chips_Sets/500_Piece_Poker_Chip_Set - that's £24.99 delivered. A good little deal, I think. A big bonus is the chips are numbered. Looks good quality.

http://www.pokershopping.co.uk/600pc-pokerchips-casino-with-aluminium-case_p628.html - about £40 delivered, but you get 600 rather than 500 and I do like the chips.

http://www.thesportshq.com/cq-poker-500-high-roller-numbered-poker-chips.aspx - £31 delivered. Looks a good set.

Or the ones listed in the original post...

Any help? :)
