Sorry to annoy you all again, but can someone please confirm if this works or not ?

Because my o2 iPhone 4 isn't accepting a t-mobile sim?

Has this worked with any of you, if so how did you manage it please?

Thanks
James

O2 are officially unlocking iPhone 4's, why would you need the software unlock?

Here is the form: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Hand

It looks like unlocking has been abit of a hit and miss thing with O2, some customers have had theirs unlocked, others have had it rejected... However O2 have stated they are not unlocking iPhone 4's until the introductory period has finished.

No harm in filling it in.

You need version 4.0.1 or lower to jailbreak and even then ultrasn0w drains your battery
Version 4.0.2 and version 4.1 which is out today currently are not jailbreak ready

It is 4.0.1 and jailbroke, I then installed ultrasn0w and it didn't work :(

Can anyone confirm that o2 have officially unlocked theirs or not?

Thanks

Some have put model 3GS on the form, others have put iPhone 4, many have had the confirmation unlock text and phone has been unlocked. See the O2 forum for details: http://forum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=36553&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=405

Check the forum, people HAVE had their iPhone 4's unlocked!... We're not wrong at all, just passing on handy information. As stated originally, it is a hit & miss thing but there's no harm in trying.x

I checked and didn't find any proof that they are unlocking the iphone 4 what so ever. I'd also like to add I filled out the form to unlock my iphone 4 about 5-6 weeks ago...phoned a week later and they said they're only doing 3g/3gs.

Cheers for confirming it, and I have tried this on two iP4's and not worked on either :( so I think I must be

I am on 01.59.00, The iPhone is an apple replacement and the only sim I have to put in it at the moment is an unactivated o2 pay as you go, but it does receive a signal but not able to receive a call - do you think this is the reason?

Thanks

Really need this doing! :(
#18
Does my sim need to be activated ?
#19
are you able to jailbreak it?
#20
You have to activate o2 sims to be able to recieve call's however you can receieve text's.

Quick question on this, i have a t-mob 3GS which is currently unlocked using ultrasn0w so I can use it on 3. Is it possible to use the o2 unlocking service say by buying a o2 payg sim and using in my phone and then using the o2 unlocking even if the phone was originally a t-mob one.
