I need help too.

Can't believe its 10hours. God knows what i'll do =/
#2
Yea, I`ve gotta do it too :|

What are you guys doing to study/prepare for it at the moment??
#3
well, my macbook was stolen, so won't be doing a lot thanks to that. But we we're given a textbook luckily.

I've looked at which tables and fields i'll be making, plus their types. I really need to look at the switchboard manager part though. And how to calculate the ride points etc.
What about you?
#4
What fields have people come up, tbh lol this exam is doing my nut in. Also has anyone had access to the data files as of yet??

I can't remember as they were all on my laptop, d'oh. Its doing mine in too. And some people have already begun the exam in some schools, so they would have seen it i'm guessing. Doubt anyone would have access to it though.

O.O argh.
#6
So what tables have you come up with then?
#7
mate your a genius, my teacher was hinting at something like a student thing coming up, right so all we need is access to the data files which unless someone can get them we can be sorted lol, I suggest as well MSN it people, then your safe.
#8
Ooo :-D
It's just the calculations of the sessions and points per member, which will the pain in my opinion. eek
#9
Wow! Nice one!

I really need as much help with this as possible... Databases are my weakest point :-(

& ouch. Hope it went well. At least you have another 4 2hour exam slots to go and make changes!
#14
your in the exam now! whats it like? ...is the data tricky, or more or less strait forward?

From the case study that we`ve been given I was only planning on using 3 tables:

Member:
MemberID
NamE
Town
No. of Points
Payment Type

Ride:
RideID
Number of Points
Description

Session:
SessionID
RideID
Date
MembershipID
Member Allowance

Thoughts?

Peace, Mike.

#23
Any one knows which validation rule or input mask to set to the Session Number field???
#24
Hial, i have had two sessions so far and im on part two , i have created 4 tables and correctly done validation rules in every table and input masks where appropriate, however i have heard of people with 5 tables ..and some with three.. whats going on , no offense but blates there are 4 tables:

Customers
Sessions
Rides

those are the main three.. then to connect them all in a relationship add a Reservations table containg each the other three tables primary keys( Foreigh key) one to many relationship

all links fine .. get a screen print of that and explain and youll get top marks ...

also if anyone is interested in getting on msnsometime to discuss the exam it would be great to share ideas

So link me ASAP .. my email/ msn is

[email protected]">[email protected]

Alternatively im always on MIrc chat client...... jaundies server .. nick is chuckie hit me up ill solve all your ICT needs

Mwahahahahhaah

get in touch.. youll regret it if you dont :)

I too have had 2 sessions so far, and also have the 4 tables.
What would you explain about the relationship though? =/

Then I got a bit stuck on the beginning of Activity Three; no idea how to generate a new membership card number/ID :?
#26
new membership .. i am not on that quetsion yet but it will be refering to the previous data and adding one to the highest on there .. shouldnt be hard to sort..

and for the card set it so it atuo fills in it all but the cust id whish you set to add on the end .. add me on msn or Irc as i often forget to check here ..

but dude lol i bee on here for like 4 hourse helping / advising others who are taking the exam so i have a few ideas ..
#27
