Hi,

I have ordered a Nokia 5230 (T-Mobile) from Argos which i will receive on Monday. Can anyone tell me if mobiles bought from Argos are sim-locked and if yes then which website is reliable for getting unlock codes free or even paid?

thanks

argos phones are nearly always locked to one particular network. small private mobile phone shops can unlock this phone for around £5. if you have none of these type of shop near you then go for ebay.

You are right. I called a mobile phone repairing shop in Bristol and they told me that this phone has got BB5 SL3 locking which is very difficult/ expensive to unlock at the moment so they advised me not to go and waste money by paying anyone online.
