Just a heads up for all those who bought the Nokia 5800 from T-Mobile the update is now here. Don't know how long it's been there.

Go here, follow and read the instructions carefully to debrand your phone and you'll be able to update to v5.

Just done the wife's 5800 used the link posted took about 10 mins for the update.

From dialaphone.

A few mins after I posted, I did some googling and have changed my product no and am now downloading v5.... Nervous, big change time!

This is what I used btw: http://nokia5800mods.blogspot.com/2010/01/change-prodcut-code-on-your-bb5-phone.html

:) Feels smoother now I think, just need to change some of my settings back now...

Yeah, only let me update to v3, so I changed it and am now running v5 :) So far so good, much smoother :)

There's numerous lists on websites, I went for a British Red one.

So you have used the software from the above links to change your product code and when you used the Nokia software update tool after the change of code it say's there is no update, is that right?
