Upgrade to Windows 7 questions
Hi all - just a quickie for you.
Someone i know has 3 PC's with windows vista on them.
They want to upgrade all 3 to windows 7.
I highly doubt they have the original vista CD/DVD and probably just have a restore CD/DVD and restore patition to clean install Vista on.
I wish to do 3 clean installs of windows 7 as "upgrading" or doing an over the top install is imo never the bets idea.
So if i buy something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Windows-Premium-Upgrade-customer/dp/B002MT21N6
Does it mean i need to have a XP CD around for the upgrade to work? i know previous operating system upgrades have asked for "proof" that you own the previious version and i cant proove that.
So im wondering what my option is ? i want home premium on 3 pc's can i buy the family pack and do 3 clean installs or do i have to get 3 x http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002DUCMT2/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B002MT21N6&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0XFKYWVD9SVC8FPM8MQ9
thanks in advance :)

i wonder why a 3 pack is cheaper than 1 then seems odd to me
time to order / format / install.
*edit*
