i have softmodded and set up FTP ready to install a larger hdd to the kids xbox, and i have reading some tutorials, and i have overlooked something thats going to leave me stuck. I dont have a hardchipped xbox, so i need to go the fitting using a pc route, only i dont have a pc, i have a laptop. now the tutorials say to disconnect pc hdd and connect the hdd meant for hdd to run a disc to set it up. how do i do this part of the process? can i use a ide-usb adapter?

Ah, my bad, I was thinking 360, its an IDE then :)

I would just clone the disk using the laptop attached to 2 usb external drives, may take some time tho'.

not too sure how that would work, or even if it does.
